This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 18, 2008:
The Reality is only an illusion With respect to Higherself.
The being mind has creatd the ego, which is personality, a face to the world , containing a system of beliefs & solutions to the problems of survival as a human being.
The Belief system has a map of the world that may only approximately to the reality & be full of delusions (a false belief that is resistant to reason )
It is the coloured glasses the person view the world through...............

Good one Shaily. “The world is an illusion” has always made me perk up and take notice. I heard a wonderful metaphor once.
A movie showing on a movie screen is an illusion. But it is real in a sense that it is a series of still frames one after the other that shows us a number of events on a timeline that form a story. So, you can change the film in the projector. What shows up on the screen will depend on what is happening in the Projectionist's booth. If you would like to have some fun with this metaphor, here may be a simpler model:
Movie screen: Life, what you experience.
Projector: Ego or self.
Film: Mind, soul, spirit, this can be whatever you feel it is depending on your understanding.
